New contract for IBS, DP 2 & VSAT for MT at Turkish yard


Marine Technologies LLC recently signed contracts for supplying Integrated Bridge, Dynamic Positioning and Communication systems for Aksoy Shipping Group for their NB 45 - a 75 m PSV of own design with moon pool, a large deck crane and accommodation for 60 persons.

BridgeMate® IBS retro-fit on large factory trawler.

Marine Technologies in Mandeville has successfully retro-fitted Seattle based factory trawler “Pacific Glacier” with a top modern BridgeMate® Integrated Bridge System, which is based on 16 multifunction work stations, all running a number of applications such as: Radar, ECDIS, Conning display, trawl sonars, trawl monitoring system, echo sounder system with four transducers, fish finding sonar, two 3-D chart systems and MT auto pilot.

MT C-COMM Basic VSAT Course Training Program

On 23-28 February 2009, MT organized a course in installation, commissioning and service of the new carbon fibre Ku Band antenna for internal MT personnel and partners worldwide.

MT has equipped Wavefield Inseis’ most recent addition to their seismic fleet, the M/V Geowave Voyager, with a totally integrated bridge system, including a joystick seismic tracking system with speed control.

C-Innovation awarded contract for 7 ROV systems by Heerema Marine Contractors
C-Innovation, LLC, Mandeville, Louisiana, announces the award of a multi-year ROV operational contract by Heerema Marine Contractors, for seven (7) ROV systems starting in 2009. C-Innovation's high specification Schilling Robotics UHDs, combined with new situational awareness subsea visualization, navigation and worldwide satellite communications, provide an operational convergence with Heerema Marine Contractors subsea operational goals for the future. ROV operations will be coordinated by C-Innovation from the GoM, Brazil, Northsea and West Africa to support Heerema Marine Contractors' worldwide operations.

A brief report from SMM
MT was present at SMM 2008, or the 23rd Shipbuilding, Machinery & Marine (SMM) technology international trade fair, which took place in Hamburg on September 23 - 26. Opening hours were from 0930 to 1800, and 8 persons from MT were present at the stand part or full time, as well as representatives from our agent in Germany, Alphabridge.

About SMM 2008
SMM is the world's leading maritime industry trade fair. This year, more than 50,000 trade visitors from all over the world was reported at the end of the fourth and last day. The largest group of visitors was from shipping lines and shipping companies, accounting for 17%; they were followed by the shipbuilding industry and machinery and equipment suppliers. 72% of trade visitors at SMM 2008 were decision makers within their companies.
